THE UNDERPANTS Play by Carl Sternheim Adaptation by Steve Martin
Set in 1910 Duesseldorf, Germany - Louise and Theo Markes, are a married couple whose conservative existence is shattered when Louise's bloomers fall down in public during the king's parade. Though she pulls them up quickly, Theo thinks the incident will ruin him and cost him his job as a respectable government clerk. Louise's momentary display does not result in the feared scandal but it does affect Theo's ability to rent out the couple's spare room. The renowned comic actor and author of Picasso at the Lapin Agile provides a wild satire adapted from the classic German play by Carl Sternheim.

THE GLASS MENAGERIE by Tennessee Williams
Beautiful, delicate and utterly human, The Glass Menagerie explores the desire for escape amidst the claustrophobia of post-depression America. Set in St Louis, the play follows the life of the Wingfield family. Tom, a factory worker, is torn between his role as the family breadwinner and the desire to lead a life of his own. Amanda, his abrasive mother, once a grand Southern socialite is trying to maintain her dignity amidst the gloom of the tenement. Meanwhile, Tom's frail sister, Laura, retreats to an imaginary world caring for her collection of glass animals until the arrival of a gentlemen caller provides her with the hope of a different kind of escape.
