Musical Theatre MANIA
Ages 6-12$110/8-week session Instructor: Janine Lee Papio Mondays: 2/13 - 4/2/2012 5PM-6PM Sing your HEART out! Musical Theatre Mania explores the three major elements of musical theatre: acting, dancing, and singing. Each student will have an opportunity to experience musical performance both individually and as a group. Audition and theatre jargon basics will also be introduced. At the conclusion of the eight week session, there will be a small performance for family and friends. |
Imagination Explosion!!!
Ages 6-12$110/8-week session Instructor: Janine Lee Papio Thursdays: 2/16 - 4/5/2012 5PM-6PM Have you ever wanted to create your own play or create your characters? Now you CAN! This course allows students to construct and perform their own 20 minute production! Students will not only create the world of the play, but design a simple set and costumes. At the conclusion of the eight week session, there will be a small performance for family and friends. |
Audition Alert
Ages 12-17$130/8-week session Instructor: Jessica Phelan Wednesdays: 2/15 - 4/4/2012 6PM-7PM An advanced study of auditioning techniques including: writing a resume, choosing correct auditions for yourself, monologue choice and correct audition etiquette. Students will be provided with monologues for study work. They will also choose some of their own pieces complementing both their age range and character preference. This class is ideal for students preparing to audition for college or anyone who just wants to feel more confident in their public speaking skills. |
Scene Intensive
Ages 12-17$130/8-week session Instructor: Jessica Phelan Mondays: 2/13- 4/2/2012 6PM-7PM A workshop style class where students will be matched with scene partners and learn to work with another actor. The class will cover blocking a scene, scene choice, working with other actors and emotional reactions. Students will begin with Meisner Method improvisation techniques and develop methods to master the scripted scenes. |
Tap 101
Ages 8-15$120/8-week session Instructor: Jeff Foote Fridays: 2/17 - 4/6/2012 4:30PM-5:30PM The only real requirement is tap shoes. Open to all levels: a great opportunity to explore tap dancing in a theatrical setting! At the conclusion of the eight week session, there will be a small performance for family and friends. Everyone can find their rhythm with the help of a great instructor. |
